What are you most proud of
contributing to your organization? Being involved with an organization
that makes a difference in the community and in the lives of
children. |
Where you involved with any
previous volunteer activities? I often volunteer for the
Salvation Army around the holidays. I have also done work with
the Girl Scouts of America. |
What do you enjoy about community
service? Community service forces you
to look at the world in a broader perspective. Helping
others in need allows you to see things in a different light. |
What is your most memorable
volunteer experience? My most memorable experiences
involve being at the fundraisers and watching members of the
community donate thousands of dollars to the "From Darkness to
Light" organization. Its really great to see such a large group
of people all come together for the same cause. |
What have you learned about
yourself through volunteering? Working as a volunteer as
really made me realize that I am just a part of a much larger
world. Its very humbling. I realized the world doesn't revolve
around me, yet by working together, we can make a difference. |
How do you think your friends
and co-workers would describe you? Someone who is loyal, loving,
headstrong, and cultured. Someone who likes to have fun. |
What would you tell someone
who is thinking of volunteering? Volunteering is a great way
to expand you horizons, help others, and challenge yourself. |
