THE VOLUNTEER SPIRIT
PR students
This special website was produced by students in Patrick Harwood's Fall 2004 Public Relations Practices course.  By featuring fellow students who perform invaluable and unheralded community service, these Communication students have themselves performed service to the College of Charleston and the Charleston community.  The project also gave the students a practical application to their studies of researching, communicating and evaluating public relations campaigns.  They've conducted their own campaign to help more people understand the community-minded nature of College of Charleston students.

Pictured at the College of Charleston-North are, front row, from left:  Amanda Deitsch, Elizabeth LaRoche, and Jeannie Wall.  Second row, from left:  Patrick Harwood, Kris Altman, Laura Ross, Katie Hudspeth, Lindsey Coates, Carnes Eisenhardt, Emilee Smoak, Brigitte Hill, and Clay Williams.  Top row, from left:  Scott Paynter, Brittany Costin, Noelle Brown, Lindsay Myers, Renee Bodie, and Daniel Rubin.  Not pictured:  Chase Fields and Mandi Ranalli.
Special thanks for assistance on this project are due to Jolanda Van Arnhem from the C of C Academic Computing Office; Jared Seay from the C of C Library; and Lauren Collier, Student Affair's Service Learning Coordinator.
