After meeting and interviewing Chloe Beutler, it's no wonder that she is being highlighted for her volunteers spirit.  To be frank, her involvement in the community, her school and with children makes her a shining and motivating example for anyone to follow. With an eager outlook and a desire for progression, her acts are nothing less than heart-warming and phenomenal.

Chloe has been involved with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program since she was 18. She has been involved with the program for four years now and continues to be a part of it every time she returns home to North Carolina. He little sister from the program has become a part of her family and I’m sure that the joy that she brings her cannot be compared with anything that the bond she shares with her.

Chloe's other service has included organizing a designer clothing sale at the College of Charleston to help support the Court Appointed Special Advocates program. The organization provides a guardian through the court process on behalf of children who are abused or neglected. Chloe personally purchased the clothing through a personal connection and then resold the items, giving all profits to CASA.

What is your most memorable volunteer experience? Every experience I have had has been amazing and life changing in some way or another.  But knowing I can help children makes those experiences the most rewarding because children are the most important part of our society because they are our future and they deserve the most help and attention because they can not help the hand that they are dealt with.  So I think it is the community’s responsibility to take care of them.
What are you most proud of contributing to your organizations? I am most proud of making a difference in the lives of children.
What do you enjoy most about community service: The best thing that comes from doing community service is knowing that you’re doing something good for someone else to help them.
How do you think your friends and family would describe you? I asked my family and they said that I am easygoing, the peacemaker, perceptive, caring, loving, sensitive, and I am the mom out of my friends. I like taking care of people.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about volunteering? I would tell anyone that whatever you do to make sure and have your heart into it.
What are your plans after graduation? After graduation I am either going to grad school for communications to go into broadcasting or going to culinary school to hopefully one day work on a cooking network or start an event planning and catering company.
