CIERRA ROGERS
C of C's Model UN and SUMA Organizations

Uniting Nations and Cultures
By Eddie Brown

Cierra Rogers
Cierra Rogers

When thinking about issues such as global warming, nuclear proliferation, and human trafficking, it is very difficult to grasp how local efforts on campus can make a difference. With her involvement in the United Nations Club and the Model United Nations Conference, Cierra Rogers is involved in these issues and is making

an effort to raise global awareness, promote diplomacy on-campus, and be an advocate for intercultural understanding.

As one of the founding executive officers of the UN Club, which was established in September 2005, Cierra has been integral in the planning of on-campus activities such as the 2nd Annual Model United Nations (UN) Conference. During the Model UN Conference, students are afforded the opportunity to engage in dialogue about global issues and to learn how real-world leaders conduct international diplomacy.
