It’s hard for many college students to find time during college to do anything other than what is already being required of you from school. Gil Boland, a Junior at the College of Charleston, however is finding a way to do just a little more.

Gil has not only been involved in various clubs and organizations on the CofC campus along with being President of Sigma Nu fraternity but he has somehow found a way to help the MUSC trauma unit. He has become an active member of the MUSC volunteer staff and described his dedication as “I know it is tough to balance your schedule in college but if you are truly committed to helping others, you’ll find a way.” We are proud to have Gil join Cougar Volunteer Spirit. And good luck with medical school in the future Dr. Boland!
